The redevelopment of the Mistress Lane site will create a sense of place and belonging for the residents of over provide over 200 new homes within the Armley district of Leeds.
When complete, the development will possess its own unique character and community, physically and visually knitted into the existing urban fabric of Armley. Accordingly, the framework for the area redevelopment has been informed by factors such as key inward and outward views, important pedestrian routes and accesses and the undulating topography of the site.
It is recognised that communities develop and evolve over long periods of time. The master planning framework for the site will allow for this change and encourage a variety of different uses for the areas of public realm. From the outset the design team will engage and collaborate with local stakeholders, encouraging influence, responsibility and ownership of their surroundings.
