Our Harrogate studio has received planning permission for Kings Road; 10 apartments within the Ilkley conservation area and next to Lutyens’ Grade I listed Heathcote.

Councillor David Warburton praised the design of the scheme, “This is one of the easier planning decisions we’ve had to make. This is a well thought out, well planned application for a Conservation Area.”

Project architect, Bryan, explains more about the development, “This was a particularly challenging site, a conservation area on one of the finest roads in Ilkley, slap bang next to one of the most important buildings in the history of British Architecture by Edwin Lutyens. The design process involved extensive consultant with neighbours, Historic England and the conservation officer at Bradford Council. We developed the design though hand-drawn sketching and 3D computer design, using a series of pencil studies of local architecture, neighbouring plot ratio analysis and computer generated views from the neighbouring properties and streets to prove that the design suited it’s surrounding whilst meeting the clients commercial needs.”
