Meet Mohammed… a second-year architecture student at Leeds Beckett University, who joined us for a practice taster to gain insightful ‘real world’ work experience under the guidance of Associate Guy Moulson.
The fifth year of this successful work placement scheme, run by Leeds School of Architecture, helps students understand of the importance of practice and professionalism. Mohammed was invited to site at our University of Leeds project; the redevelopment of the Grade II listed Old Mining Building plus the new 15,700m2 Sir William Henry Bragg Building wider development, and met the contractor team and design managers from BAM to find out about the scheme progress in detail.
Seven was one of a number of architectural practices who has been involved in the scheme in order to continue strong links with the aspiring students at Leeds Beckett and fully support employability opportunities.
