Adele is an Architectural Technologist at seven and is passionate about the way in which the world is decorated with different examples of architecture. This interest led her to achieve a First Class BSc(Hons) in Architectural Technology at the University of Central Lancashire. She champions our mission to improve lives, getting involved at her university to help final year students during their reviews and taking part in degree shows. She is also a member of PLACED, a social enterprise which gives communities and young people from all backgrounds an opportunity to learn about the built environment. Adele hopes to inspire a new generation of architects and architectural technologists through workshops and education programmes. Since graduating, she has gained extensive experience across residential, healthcare and commercial projects, offering expertise in 3D visualisations.

Andrew is an Associate and Chartered Architectural Technologist at seven and has been with the company for over 10 years. During this time, Andrew has been influential in the development of the practice’s technical delivery strategy, leading teams in the delivery of high quality and challenging projects. Andrew is also a Revit Certified Professional and has been integral to the creation and development of the practice’s BIM Implementation Strategy and Revit Standards. Andrew offers expertise and guidance in technical design, collaborative BIM working, Revit Standards and project delivery across multiple project sectors, particularly large-scale Education, Residential and Commercial schemes.

Andrew is an Associate at seven and Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists. He has worked in professional practice for over 25 years and has an excellent understanding of contract management, Building Regulations, Health and Safety and Access issues. Andrew works across the practice to ensure the technically excellent delivery of all projects, continually assessing and challenging quality. Andrew has worked across most sectors in the industry and currently specialises in co-ordinating the design and on-site works of medium to large scale retirement living schemes across the North of the UK.

Bernadette is the Office & Finance Manager at seven, working closely with the Directors she assists in finance and supports day to day operations. She is a qualified Payroll Agent, an Affiliate member of The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) and an active student with The Open University and The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). Bernadette has worked in the Construction industry for over 19 years and oversees Seven’s Quality Management and Health & Safety. Bernadette is passionate about property restoration, renovation and interior design. She is equally passionate about providing organised and efficient systems which encourage continual improvement, streamline operations and reduce costs.

Bryan is a RIBA Chartered Architect at seven, offering front end design across a wide range of project sectors including heritage, residential and commercial. Bryan offers particular expertise in heritage assets, with a keen interest in the conservation and regeneration of historic buildings. He has a breadth of experience in working on Grade I and Grade II listed buildings across the country to ensure they can be enjoyed for future generations.
Bryan has a background as a sculptor and fine artist, and utilises his talent combining hand drawing with current technologies in the architectural process. He also teaches architecture part time at the University of Sheffield, running a Masters level studio that focuses on technological innovation within historic environments.

Dan is an Architect at seven and is particularly passionate about architecture that brings a new lease of life to existing and sometimes neglected buildings. He offers experience across Residential, Retail and Commercial projects and has developed a specialism for reworking houses and other existing buildings to help them better suit the needs and exceed the expectations of their users. He believes that working closely with clients to develop a sensitive and strategic approach to context can uncover a project’s true hidden potential. Dan is highly proficient in a range of software including Adobe Creative Suite and is a Revit Certified Professional.

He enjoys the challenge of unlocking sensitive sites, delivering many exciting projects in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Conservation Areas and Green Belt as well as the sensitive redevelopment of Heritage Assets. Dan enjoys collaborating with Clients, Local Planning Authorities, and Contractors to sympathetically maximise the potential of sites. He is passionate about contemporary design that responds well to its context whilst expressing modern methods of construction. Dan believes in the wider social importance architecture has on local communities and the environment.

Guy is a RIBA Chartered Architect and Associate at seven, managing the design of a wide range of schemes across the practice. Guy is most proud of his contribution towards public sector and educational projects, creating inspiring architecture for schools, colleges and various police forces. He has particular expertise in the use of BIM and is a Revit Certified Professional, helping to develop and implement the practice’s BIM Methodology. Guy takes on a mentoring role within the studio, coaching students on work experience as well as tutoring part time at the University of Sheffield’s School of Architecture. He is honoured to have won the RIBA Yorkshire Silver Award in 2013 and to have been shortlisted for the 3D Reid Student Prize the same year.

Ian is a RIBA Chartered Architect and co-founding Director of seven. Ian has been working in professional practice for over 20 years, during which he has led the design of numerous high profile and award winning projects ranging from £0.5M to £60M in value. Ian is the design lead for the practice, taking overall responsibility for the design quality across the studios. Clients value Ian’s master planning expertise in unlocking challenging sites to provide beneficial environments for end users. Ian currently manages the account of our retirement living developments, creating designs which are built around the needs of homeowners to better assist them with the challenges of later life. He also offers expertise in the design of effective commercial office and workspace environments, including several new build and refurbishment schemes at SciTech in Daresbury.

Jamie is an Architectural Assistant at seven, with experience across residential, education and heritage sectors. He has successfully completed both his BA and MArch at the Manchester School of Architecture, during which he took part in the Erasmus exchange programme. Jamie studied historic precedents first hand, sketching the public spaces of 40 cities across Italy exploring various models in successful urban design. Jamie is passionate about bringing new elements sensitively to the city and his 6th year saw the design of a journey through literature within the tight meandering streets of Lisbon, gaining the Hawkins Brown Award for socially conscious architecture and urbanism.

Jay is an Architectural Assistant at seven, joining the practice after successfully achieving his undergraduate degree in Architecture at Northumbria University. He has a strong interest in the complex psychology of people and how people perceive architecture through their experience of space, form and function. He feels that we need to provide a strong, positive effect to society through the architecture we design. Jay is also interested in the history of architecture and how it has developed through time, aiming to explore this further by working on heritage and conservation restoration projects. Jay has a love for hand-drawn techniques which he uses as a main style for his work and is now working in practice to widen his skills and knowledge of computer aided design.

He is proud to have designed many exceptional public buildings for the NHS to serve local communities across the North of England. He offers expertise in 3D visualisation and 3D detailing and coordination. He is an experienced project administrator working with and coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams and offers excellent technical skills in Revit.

Lisa is a RIBA Conservation Architect and Director of seven, past President of the Manchester Society of Architects and is a full Member of the IHBC. She is passionate about ensuring sensitive historical buildings can be enjoyed for future generations and has developed specialist expertise in conservation architecture. Her skills are valued throughout the profession and she is a regular judge for the RICS Awards, Civic Trust Awards and for the Conservation Category in the RIBA NW Regional Awards. Lisa also sits on the Manchester City Council Conservation Panel. Lisa champions seven’s mission to improve lives, designing award winning public buildings such as Youth Zones in disadvantaged areas to give young people somewhere positive to spend their leisure time. She is also leading seven’s trailblazer role in developing the new Architectural Apprenticeship programme with the IFA, offering students an alternative route into the profession.

Martin is a RIBA Chartered Architect and Director of seven, with over 30 years’ experience leading a wide range of commercial and public-sector commissions. Martin manages complex and sensitive projects including security led design for police forces across the UK. His experience in conservation and regeneration has led to many award-winning heritage schemes, including the Grade II listed Print Works for Leeds City College. Martin also offers expertise in designing exceptional sporting venues to Sports England Standards, during which he has developed a close working relationship with the ECB. Martin champions our mission to improve lives by leading the practice’s charity work.

Owen is a recently qualified Architect at seven after achieving a Distinction MArch at the University of Huddersfield and having now successfully passed his Part III examination. He has a wide breadth of knowledge in Education, Community and Commercial sectors offering clients his technical design expertise. Owen has a keen interest in BIM and 3D visualisation and is a Revit Certified Professional, taking on an active role in developing these skills across the practice. He offers experience in the creation of detailed BIM models for existing buildings including Grade II listed heritage assets. Owen’s professional experience in 3D visualisation is also well valued in the creation of 3D models and high quality renders.

Rhys has recently focused on multi-use commercial, residential and heritage schemes and is proud to have utilised his expertise to successfully obtain planning permission for a sensitive commercial extension to a historic building in Harrogate. Rhys is passionate about making buildings environmentally responsible both in construction and throughout their lifetime, offering an excellent working knowledge of BREEAM and sustainability to his clients and colleagues. Rhys also takes an active role in the company’s charity work, organising and running fundraising events across the practice.

Rob was Project Architect for an award-winning health care centre and is particularly proud of being highly commended in the Community Benefit Category for the RICS Awards and winning a local Building Control Excellence Award within the Community Category.

Ruth is passionate about ensuring that our historic environment can be enjoyed by future generations and has recently completed a RIBA Advanced Conservation Course to further enhance her knowledge. She has a keen interest in the way in which architecture impacts upon our daily lives and particularly enjoys creating inspiring educational environments, currently involved in various refurbishment projects in the FE sector. Simon is an Associate at seven and past President of the Manchester Society of Architects offering 15 years of experience across the profession. He has a breadth of knowledge in Leisure, Residential, Education and Commercial schemes and is a Revit Certified Professional. He offers particular expertise in the heritage sector, having recently completed a RIBA Advanced Conservation Course and has led guided walks for the Civic Trust and Twentieth Century Society. In 2015 Simon co-curated ‘We built this city’ an exhibition charting the history of Manchester Architects since its foundation 150 years ago. Simon is passionate about improving lives through architecture, designing award winning Youth Zones for disadvantaged young people. He goes above and beyond, recently volunteering at Wirral Youth Zone and taking part in a sponsored sky dive to fundraise for the youth zone charity.

Stephen is a RIBA Chartered Architect at seven with a keen interest in the way we live using space and buildings. He offers a wide range of experience in various project sectors including retail, commercial, heritage and education. Stephen offers particular expertise in commercial development having worked on numerous complex refurbishments, often of sensitive listed buildings, to ensure they are adequate for commercial use in the 21st Century. With experience in the residential sector and a particular interest in self build architecture. Tom has experimented at undergraduate level, how small, self-build additions can rejuvenate pockets of the public realm. He believes that every project must start somewhere and small architectural implementations can rethink sustainable development of neglected areas. Tom is proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and Revit and is working in practice to gain experience as part of a design led team.

Tracy is the Finance Director at seven and qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) with over 15 years of experience in both practice and industry. Tracy has managed the finances for seven since its establishment in 2006 and sits on the board of Directors, offering a critical overview of the business expenditure. Tracy works closely with the management team, the wider architectural team and our clients to ensure effective project and practice management. She is passionate about providing excellent, efficient systems which encourage open and collaborative working within the practice.

Zoe is a Senior Architectural Designer at seven, specialising in Residential and Education sectors. She offers particular expertise in retirement living design, creating safe and secure environments for the elderly where they can lead active and independent lives. Zoe has a predominant background in the planning side of projects, successfully achieving a series of approvals for challenging sites and schemes. Her ability to unlock complex site restraints is valued by both colleagues and clients. Zoe is also a member of the Manchester Society of Architects and organises the society’s annual dinner for over 400 guests.
